Here in the Victoria Gallery we reinstate an authentic Victorian Art Gallery experience for visitors.

The original curved red walls, vaulted glass ceiling, ornamental plasterwork and varnished dados create an impressive setting for the City's nationally important collection of historic oil paintings.

Highlights include the recently purchased portrait of George Paterson by Henry Raeburn, the earliest painting of a football match - 'The Village Ba' Game' by Alexander Carse, Dante Gabriel Rossetti's Pre-Raphaelite masterpiece 'Dante's Dream on the Day of the Death of Beatrice' and work by the Glasgow Boys.
