Jet Spacer Necklace - click image to enlargeClick Image to EnlargeThis was found in a short cist cremation under a burial mound at East Kinwhirrie (Kinquarrie) Angus. The cist's corners were lined with clay to make them water tight, and a stone weighing over a ton formed the roof.

Research by the National Museums of Scotland revealed that this necklace and bracelet were made of jet from Whitby in Yorkshire.
